Slima evolves — features old versions may have used. Below is the deprecation log.
Branch version control
Deprecated: 2026-05
Was: you could create branches per book (git-like) — e.g. try a different ending with switched POV.
Why removed: concept was too dev-toolish — most writers found it confusing. Linear version history already covers real needs (try big change → don't like → restore).
Use now: Version history — "restore → continue from that point" is the practical equivalent of branching.
AI Agent 5 modes (Worldbuild / Ask / Plan / Write / Mystery)
Deprecated: 2026-04
Was: AI had 5 independent modes, each with dedicated prompts.
Why removed: users didn't know which to use when — made AI friction instead of helpful.
Use now: AI Coach — unified chat, AI auto-detects what help you want.
Garden / Sanctum naming
Deprecated: 2026-03
Was: "My Works" was called Garden; "Archive" was called Sanctum.
Why renamed: too whimsical, some users found it unclear.
Use now: standard terms: Works / Archive / Trash.
