4.0.32 is a fix release. It mainly fixes the false “Sync Conflict” that could appear while typing, along with a few other fixes. This update goes from 4.0.30 straight to 4.0.32, and 4.0.31 is included.
Sync conflicts
- Typing on your own no longer brings up a “Sync Conflict” out of nowhere.
- Files that were wrongly marked as conflicted usually recover on their own after you update and reload, with no text lost. Conflicts that really come from another device or tab will still warn you.
- After sync pulls newer content down from another device, a tab still showing the old screen can no longer overwrite it when it saves. And after you choose “Use Theirs”, the conflict no longer pops up again right away.
- The conflict window explains itself better, and it tells you when a file hasn’t synced to the cloud yet.
Other fixes
- When the AI changes several places in one file, accepting them one by one no longer gets stuck or leaves duplicated paragraphs.
- If Google sign-in doesn’t go through, you land back on the sign-in page with an explanation, instead of something that looks like you’re signed in.
- When the connection is shaky during an AI chat, you get a message to try again in a moment, not “Error 500”.
- The buttons in billing and notification emails now go to the right pages.
- Deleting a Beta Reader report no longer fails.
- When you connect an outside AI tool to Slima through MCP and look at a book, the word count now shows correctly.
How to update
When you see “New version available”, press “Update now”.
If you don’t see the prompt: on the web, close every Slima tab and open it again. For the installed app, quit it completely and reopen it.
If the conflict still shows up after updating
Don’t press any button yet. Take a screenshot with the message at the top and the text inside the window both in it, and send it to service@slima.ai, or tell us on Discord.
