Note Board overview: home for unclassified-but-important content
Plan view's 6th tab is Notes. The Note Board holds everything that doesn't fit the 5 structured tabs — TODOs / ideas / references / interview transcripts.

Role of the Note Board
Script Studio's 5 structured data tabs (Characters / Storylines / Locations / Worldview / Scenes) each have clear schemas. But lots of things don't fit them:
- "TODO: still figuring out E3's climax"
- "Idea: could A. Smith be a double agent?"
- "Reference link: [1995 Taiwan lighthouse list]"
- "Interview log: spoke with former lighthouse keeper Mr. X, he said..."
- "Question: script consultant says E5 is too slow; how to fix?"
- "Dialogue fragment: great line I just thought of but no idea which scene"
Note Board is home for these unclassified-but-important things.
Note Board UI
Typical layout:
- Left column: list of all notes (title + preview)
- Right: detail editor for the selected note
- Top: filter / sort / tag
Note scopes
Notes can attach to different levels:
| Level | Example |
|---|---|
| Book / Series | Series-wide TODOs, big ideas |
| Season | Season structure discussion |
| Episode | This-episode changes |
| Scene | Per-scene setup / payoff records, scene-level notes |
Switching levels filters the note list.
Cross-tab references
Notes can reference other tabs (e.g. [[Character: A. Smith]], [[Storyline: B-story]]) — Slima auto-links; click to jump.
Sort / filter
Usually supports:
- Sort by time (new → old / old → new)
- Filter by tags
- Full-text search
- Mark as "Resolved" / "Open"
AI Coach integration
Notes go into the AI Coach as book-level context — but typically with lower priority (scenes / dialogue you're currently writing matter more than notes).
To make the Coach focus on a specific note, @ mention it.
