4.0.68: export scope fixes and more careful sync

4.0.68 completes the export range options and makes sync more careful.

Export

  • When exporting several books from the book list, you can now choose Manuscript or Everything (Manuscript by default), so reference files are no longer exported along with them. “Export .docx” on archived books now opens the export dialog, where you can choose the range.
  • Fixed exports that included reference files even when only “Manuscript” was selected.

Sync and conflicts

  • Sync is more careful: if this device hasn’t caught up with a newer cloud version yet, it no longer pushes older content over it. Pressing Sync now tries once more.
  • Fixed a rare case where newer content from another device could be overwritten by older content when downloading the newer version failed. The conflict window now says the cloud version is still downloading and retries automatically.
  • Fixed history occasionally treating an older version as the latest when several saves happened within a very short time.
  • When you switch back to Slima from the background and this device has changes that haven’t been saved as a version yet, it now saves them first and then pulls the latest, so you no longer wait a minute to see what you wrote on another device.

How to update

When you see “New version available”, press “Update now”.

If you don’t see the prompt: on the web, close every Slima tab and open it again. For the installed app, quit it completely and reopen it.

If the conflict still shows up after updating

Don’t press any button yet. Take a screenshot with the message at the top and the text inside the window both in it, and send it to service@slima.ai, or tell us on Discord.
