Update profile and avatar
Last updated May 24, 2026 · 3 min read
Your display name, email, and avatar show at the top of the Account left sidebar. This page explains where they come from, and what you can and can't change.

Your profile comes from your sign-in account
Slima signs you in with a Google account (see Sign up & sign in). So your:
- Display name
- Avatar
all come from the account you signed in with, and are shown read-only in the Account hub — Slima doesn't have its own "edit profile" form.
Each field
Display name
The name you see across Slima (the motivation card, how the AI Coach addresses you, the author name on share links). It mirrors your sign-in account's name.
This is your sign-in identity. Slima has no "change email" feature inside the app — it's simply the email of the Google account you sign in with.
Avatar
Slima shows an avatar automatically (you'll see it at the bottom of the left activity bar and on the Account page). There's currently no step to upload a custom photo.
What does it affect?
Whatever your name or email is, your books, subscription, API tokens, and referral relationships all belong to the account — they don't depend on the displayed profile info.
