Welcome to Slima

Slima isn't another word processor — it's a long-form writing environment that remembers your whole book, integrating writing, AI conversation, version history, and reader feedback in one place.

What Slima is

One sentence: a working environment for taking a long-form work from the first word to the last.

Unlike Google Docs or Word — "blank-page-and-type" tools — Slima is built specifically for long-form writers. An 80,000-word novel, 20 chapters, 5 main characters, a half-year writing span — at that scale, both the editor and the AI have to keep up.

So Slima:

  • Remembers your whole book. The AI reads the whole-book context, not just the chunk you pasted. When you rewrite chapter 8, it remembers what chapter 2 said about the protagonist's mother.
  • Never loses your draft. Every writing session, every AI edit, every important checkpoint auto-creates a version. Broke something? One-click restore.
  • Can simulate readers with AI. Finish a chunk / a chapter / a whole book — ask the AI Beta Readers to read it and tell you what worked and what didn't.

File tree on the left, manuscript in the middle, AI Writing Coach (or version history) on the right — three things on one screen. No window-switching, no copy-pasting context into a separate AI tab.

Three pillars: why Slima is different

Whichever Studio you use, three things sit underneath:

1. Whole-book context
The AI reads your whole book, not just the chunk you pasted. While rewriting chapter 8, it remembers what chapter 2 said — who the protagonist's mother was, what foreshadowing you planted, what tone you set. This is the biggest single difference between Slima's AI and a generic chat tool: it doesn't start from zero every time.

2. Version history
Slima auto-snapshots before every major change. Want to try changing the POV, cutting a subplot, rewriting an ending? Try safely — don't like it, one-click restore. See: Take a manual version.

3. Manuscript-aware AI
The AI knows where you are in the draft, what you've changed, who the protagonist is, what the book's overall tone is. So its suggestions aren't generic writing advice — they're about your book. This is why the same underlying model feels different inside Slima than it does in a stock chat tool.

Three Studios + one external interface

Slima isn't one tool — it's split into 3 Studios depending on what you're writing, plus one Slima MCP that connects external AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to read and write your books.

For What's distinctive
