AI Beta Readers doesn't require your draft to live in Slima. Two paths in:
Pick from existing Slima books
Easiest. On the Beta Readers home list:
- All your "active" + "archived" books
- Click → next step (pick service)
- Slima reads the book directly; no re-upload needed
Upload an external manuscript
Got a draft elsewhere? Drop it in:
Supported formats

| Plain text (.txt) | No chapter split, single file |
Upload limit: 20 MB per file and 300K words per upload.
After upload
- Slima parses chapter structure + word count
- Preview: "N chapters, N,NNN words"
- Pick which chapters to include in the report (e.g. only the first 3)
Not turned into a Slima book
Uploaded manuscripts don't auto-become Slima books — they're scoped to this run. If you want to write in Slima too, use the Import existing manuscript path separately.
What gets read
