Mobile gestures

On mobile, Slima replaces the keyboard sidebar with a bottom navigation bar — tap an item to open the corresponding panel as a bottom sheet.

Bottom navigation bar

The bar at the bottom of the screen is how you move around on mobile. Tapping an item opens that panel as a bottom sheet:

  • Editor — back to writing
  • Files — the file tree (chapters, scenes, notes)
  • Chat — the AI Coach
  • Search — quick open / search
  • More — the remaining tools and settings

Long-press in the file tree

Long-press a file or folder in the file tree to open its menu (rename, delete, and other actions) — the touch equivalent of a right-click on desktop.

A Bluetooth keyboard works too

If you pair a Bluetooth keyboard, most desktop shortcuts work just like on a computer:

  • iPad + Bluetooth → most desktop shortcuts work
  • Android works the same way
