5 starting options

See import flow: Import script to new book

Blank Script — step-by-step

Pick "Blank Script" → step 2 shows "New Script" form:

Field Required Default
Title Placeholder "My first script"
Format Hollywood / TW Drama (default)
Type Film / TV Series / Short / Micro Drama

Confirm → "Create Script" button.

4 Types map to subsequent UI differences

Type UI behaviour
Film Season / Episode each only 1 (details)
TV Series Multi-season / multi-episode; Scenes view has Episode / Season toggle
Short Usually 1 season / 1 episode, but 4-level structure kept
Micro Drama Multi-episode short-form

Restore Backup — equivalent to Writing Studio

Same mechanism as Writing Studio's restore from backup — imports .slima into a new Series. Preserves full version history.

Import 3 formats — see

Import script to new book — heuristic parse + preview / fix-up workflow.

After creation

You land in the new script's Plan view — start filling Logline / Concept / Synopsis metadata, or jump to Scenes view to pick a structure template and start writing.

First-entry Tour prompt

After creating, your first visit usually shows a "New here?" floating tour (e.g. "Planning: think clearly — start by writing a one-line story and seasonal structure"). Walk through / Skip / Later options.
